Hosting, access, and recovery

Website hosting, maintenance and a clearer recovery plan.

A website needs more than a launch date. Spectre Stacks provides hosting and technical care by agreed scope, with attention to account access, updates, backups, migrations and the information needed to keep the site maintainable.

Know what supports the site

Clarify responsibilities before assuming one invoice covers everything.

Domains, DNS, hosting, email, WordPress, plugins and third-party services may be controlled in different places. We clarify those responsibilities rather than assuming that paying one invoice means every part of the system is covered.

Unclear domain or hosting ownership

Nobody can identify who controls the domain, DNS, hosting, or email

Backups never tested

Backups exist but restoration has not been considered

Live changes without a rollback plan

Production changes happen without staging or rollback

Unclear update responsibility

Updates and security responsibilities are unclear

Migration risk to forms and tracking

A migration could interrupt forms, email, search signals, or analytics

Work that can be included

Hosting, maintenance, and recovery responsibilities

01 / Included

Hosting setup and care

Review the environment, configuration and responsibilities appropriate to the website.

02 / Included

WordPress maintenance

Plan supported updates and checks with a way to recover from an unsuccessful change.

03 / Included

Backups and recovery

Identify which files and data are included, where backups are stored, who can restore them and what the agreed verification covers.

04 / Included

Website migrations

Move the agreed site components while accounting for URLs, forms, DNS, email dependencies and launch checks. A migration is a distinct technical project, not a casual change of address.

05 / Included

Access documentation

Record the accounts, ownership, support contacts and licensing dependencies needed for continuity.

06 / Included

Performance review

Investigate relevant hosting or site issues without removing useful content or business functionality simply to improve a test score.

Only when stated in the agreed scope: a specific hosting provider, fixed backup-retention periods, 24/7 monitoring, emergency support fees, scheduled restore tests, and forensic or penetration testing. Not guaranteed: uptime or a fixed recovery time.

Scope and response expectations

Hosting, maintenance, monitoring and urgent support are not interchangeable.

  1. Map current ownership, dependencies, risk, and recovery options
  2. Capture a recoverable baseline
  3. Stage and test the required change
  4. Schedule and execute a controlled cutover when needed
  5. Verify site, forms, email, redirects, analytics, and backups
The agreement states which work is included, the review or support arrangement, and any separate charges. This page does not promise round-the-clock availability, a fixed recovery time or an absolute uptime guarantee. A backup record should distinguish “a copy was created,” “the file can be opened” and “a restore was tested.”

Keep the website project independent.

Infrastructure continuity · Worthy Landscaping

Continuity behind the redesign.

Worthy Landscaping's visible refresh sits on an operating WordPress foundation. Migration, hosting, image delivery, form and email support, and ongoing maintenance were handled as connected continuity work while established page identities and URLs remained part of the plan.

Independence

You can discuss technical care for an existing site or arrange it after a new build. Google Ads management is not required. A website design project can also be handed over to another agreed maintenance provider.

Questions about ongoing care

Hosting questions before we change anything live

Is having a backup enough?

A backup is useful only when its scope and recovery process are understood. Restoration testing and retention arrangements should be defined rather than assumed.

Does hosting include email and every plugin license?

Not automatically. Those services and licenses may be separate. The proposal identifies included items and responsibilities.

Will you move everything before looking at the current setup?

No. Access, dependencies and a recoverable plan come first. The goal is continuity, not unnecessary change.

Can you respond to an emergency outage?

Availability and response time depend on an active agreement and the access already in place. Emergency work cannot be guaranteed without scope.
