Measurement and attribution

Analytics and conversion tracking you can interpret.

Know what an event represents before relying on the number. Spectre Stacks plans, implements and checks measurement for websites and advertising, with clear definitions for forms, calls and the business outcomes those actions may lead to.

The problem is not always a missing tag

An event can fire correctly but represent the wrong action.

A button click may not prove that a form was accepted. A successful form response may not prove that the notification reached the team. An advertising conversion may not represent a qualified inquiry or sale. The work is to connect each measurement to a defined action and verify the parts that can be tested.

What the service can include

What we define, implement, and verify

01 / Included

Measurement planning

Identify useful business actions, their meaning and where they occur. Separate primary outcomes from supporting engagement.

02 / Included

GA4 and Google Tag Manager

Review or implement the agreed event and tag configuration. Existing containers and event names are inventoried before changes are made.

03 / Included

Advertising conversion review

Check which actions the account records, how goals are selected and where duplicated or misleading outcomes may arise.

04 / Included

Form and call testing

Trace the difference between an interaction, an accepted submission, a delivered notification and the next business step. Call-tracking tools and data access are scoped separately when required.

05 / Included

Reporting definitions

Document data sources, exclusions and limitations. Match the report language to the evidence instead of renaming every event a lead.

06 / Included

Consent-aware implementation

Review measurement behavior against the site's actual consent arrangement and agreed requirements. Technical setup is not a legal-compliance certification.

07 / Included

QA evidence and handoff

A defined event map, implementation notes, test cases, tag inventory and a short explanation of the report's limits. Configuration changes should be traceable.

Separate or out of scope: New tag IDs, events or platform accounts beyond the agreed plan; unrestricted personal-data collection; and legal consent advice. Not guaranteed: perfect cross-device attribution or exact agreement between platforms. Your existing tracking stays in place until any change has been reviewed with you.

How the engagement runs

How measurement work usually runs

  1. Inventory active tags, plugins, forms, calls, and platform settings
  2. Define the conversion hierarchy and naming
  3. Implement or repair one signal at a time
  4. Run controlled tests and compare destinations
  5. Document remaining limits and the reporting cadence
Example measurement record: Separate button activation; accepted form response; stored submission where supported; notification receipt; any advertising or analytics event; later qualification by the business. Each stage has a distinct test and meaning. This is an illustrative plan—not a record of your current form.

A focused project or connected engagement

Tracking can be commissioned for an existing site, a redesign or an advertising account. A website migration, new marketing platform or different hosting arrangement is not automatically required.

Questions about measurement

Tracking questions before we change tags

Can you tell whether every inquiry is a genuine lead?

Not from a tag alone. Qualification requires the business's own assessment and, where appropriate, an agreed customer-record or offline reporting process.

Is one Tag Manager container always the right setup?

Not necessarily. The important question is whether the installed tools have documented responsibilities and whether the same business outcome is being counted unintentionally more than once.

Will you change my live campaigns while checking tracking?

Advertising changes are a separately authorized scope. A website or analytics review does not grant permission to change campaign settings, budgets or bidding.

Can you fix duplicate conversions?

Usually, after tracing all tags, plugin events, thank-you logic, and imported actions that can fire for the same user event.
